Diseno de interruptores de membrana
Revision de diseno para detectar problemas de fabricabilidad antes de que se conviertan en fallas de campo. We check your overlay, circuit, adhesive, and tail design against 23 years of production data.
El diseno de un interruptor de membrana es donde se integran o se bloquean costo, fiabilidad y apariencia. A design that looks correct in a 2D drawing can fail when the adhesive does not bond to a textured enclosure, the tail kinks during assembly, the overlay cracks from chemical exposure, or the dome force feels wrong after mounting. These problems are expensive to fix once tooling is cut and samples are approved.
JASPER provides design review as a standard part of every project — not an upsell. Our engineers have 23 years of production feedback to draw on: which PET grades survive isopropyl wipe-down, which 3M adhesive bonds to powder-coat, where to route tails so assembly workers do not kink them, and how spacer tolerances affect dome snap ratio. This knowledge is free to our customers and saves weeks of prototype iteration.

Diseno considerando cumplimiento
If the final product needs RoHS, REACH, UL-listed materials, or medical-grade chemical resistance, those requirements must be part of the design brief — not a procurement afterthought. Material substitutions after tooling force re-sampling, re-testing, and re-approval. JASPER flags compliance requirements at the design stage and selects qualified materials from the start.
Orientacion practica
The most effective design reviews happen before artwork is finalized. Small adjustments — moving a tail exit 5 mm to clear an enclosure rib, widening the adhesive border from 3 mm to 5 mm for reliable sealing, increasing key spacing from 10 mm to 12 mm for dome clearance — prevent problems that would otherwise require a second sample round.
If your project is early-stage, we work from sketches, enclosure CAD, and a description of the operator workflow. If the design is mature, we review existing files for manufacturability and flag specific risks before quoting.
Preguntas frecuentes
-
Can JASPER help design from a rough concept?
Yes. A sketch, product photo, enclosure 3D model, or functional description is enough to start. We convert rough concepts into layer stack-ups with material, tolerance, and connector specifications.
-
What is the most common design mistake?
Treating the membrane switch as a flat label. It is a functional assembly where overlay material, adhesive selection, tail routing, dome pocket geometry, and enclosure fit must be designed together. Ignoring any one factor creates a failure mode.
-
Can you review existing supplier drawings?
Yes. We routinely review drawings from other suppliers for second-source qualification. We identify material unknowns, tolerance risks, and construction improvements — then produce comparison samples.
