Working Principle:
Touch changes the capacitance value:When the human finger is close to or touches the capacitive touch switch, since the human body is a conductor and has a certain capacitance, it is equivalent to the original capacitance structure in parallel with a new capacitor, resulting in an increase in the total capacitance value. From the electric field point of view to understand, under normal circumstances, the switch internal electric field to maintain a uniform, finger touch will change the electric field distribution, and thus change the capacitance value.
Circuit detection and signal processing:
- Signal Generation: The control circuit is usually powered by an AC power supply and periodically changes the supply potential to induce changes in the electric field between the sensing electrode and the approaching object. When the capacitance value changes, this results in a change in parameters such as current, voltage or oscillation frequency in the circuit.
- Signal Detection and Conversion: The capacitance sensor in a capacitive touch switch will detect the change in capacitance by measuring the current or oscillation frequency, etc. and convert it into an electrical signal.
- Signal Comparison and Judgment: The comparator in the electronic circuit will compare the detected electrical signal with the preset threshold value. When the capacitance change exceeds the preset threshold, the comparator output signal changes.
- Control Logic and Switch Action: The control logic section receives the signal output from the comparator and decides whether to trigger a switch action based on the change in the signal. This action can either directly control the on/off of a load or control the operation of other devices through devices such as relays and transistors.
